Moon Goddess Mama provides private daytime and overnight postpartum doula care throughout Philadelphia and the Main Line. Some employer-sponsored family benefits and reimbursement programs may cover eligible postpartum doula services. Coverage depends entirely on the individual employer, benefit provider and plan.

HOW BENEFIT COVERAGE WORKS

Employer-sponsored family benefits may help eligible families pay for postpartum doula care. Programs and coverage requirements vary, and participation in a benefit program does not automatically guarantee that services will be approved or reimbursed.

Families should confirm eligibility directly with their employer or plan administrator before reserving care.

BEFORE RESERVING CARE

If your employer offers benefits through a program such as Carrot or Maven, ask your plan administrator:

  • Whether postpartum doula services are eligible

  • Whether preauthorization is required

  • Whether services must begin within a particular timeframe

  • What credentials or supporting documents are required

  • Whether invoices must include specific information

  • How and when reimbursement requests must be submitted

Whenever possible, obtain written confirmation of the applicable requirements before services begin.

DOCUMENTATION AVAILABLE

Moon Goddess Mama can provide:

  • A signed service agreement

  • Itemized invoices and payment receipts

  • Bethany Wellington’s PCD(DONA) credential information

  • Proof of current CPR and First Aid training

  • Proof of professional liability insurance

  • Applicable background and child-abuse clearances

  • Reasonable assistance with benefit-provider verification or attestation forms

Providing documentation does not guarantee approval, coverage or reimbursement. Each family remains responsible for confirming its eligibility and paying Moon Goddess Mama according to the signed service agreement, regardless of the benefit provider’s final decision or reimbursement timeline.
