Postpartum Care Packages

Packages provide continuity, predictable support, and the opportunity to reserve care before your baby arrives.

Package prices are based on standard weekday scheduling unless otherwise noted. Weekend shifts are calculated at the weekend overnight rate.

Package pricing reflects more than the number of care hours. Intensive and consecutive-care arrangements include protected availability, priority scheduling, advance planning, continuity, and additional coordination surrounding your family’s reserved care period.

Two Ways to Begin Postpartum Care

Short-Term Support

Short-term packages secure specific available dates and may be paid in full when booked or through an agreed weekly payment schedule.

These options are helpful for families who need immediate relief, want several focused visits, or would like to experience professional postpartum support before requesting additional care.

Short-term availability may be limited and does not reserve a broader birth-month care window.

Reserved Continuity Care

Families planning consistent support around their estimated due date reserve their birth month with a retainer equal to 80 hours of care.

The retainer protects availability surrounding the anticipated arrival and is applied toward care provided during the baby’s birth month. For standard weekday overnight care, 80 hours equals $5,200. Weekend hours are calculated at the applicable weekend rate.

Most families reserve ongoing support for six to eight weeks. Extended care through the complete 12-week fourth trimester is also available.

Your dates are officially reserved once the service agreement is signed and the required retainer is received.

After the 80 retainer hours have been used, continued care may be paid week to week according to the schedule and payment terms documented in your service agreement.

Multigenerational Harmony

Best for Extended-Family Households

Customized daytime, overnight, or extended-care schedule

Personalized proposal required

Multigenerational support can be a tremendous gift. It can also require careful communication when family members have different expectations surrounding feeding, sleep, visitors, household roles, and newborn care.

Multigenerational Harmony provides respectful support within homes where grandparents, elders, extended family, or household staff are actively involved.

• Clarifying the parents’ stated preferences
• Supporting respectful communication
• Helping family members participate confidently
• Reinforcing safe newborn-care practices
• Creating defined opportunities for parental rest
• Supporting family-established food and recovery plans
• Respecting privacy, visitor, and household preferences
• Reducing tension without dismissing family traditions
• Coordinating responsibilities among several caregivers
• Maintaining consistency across daytime and nighttime care

The parents remain the final decision-makers regarding their baby and postpartum care.

Tradition, safety, and family confidence can exist together.

Double Moon

Best for Twins and Multiples

Customized intensive postpartum and overnight care

Personalized proposal required

Families welcoming twins or multiples often benefit from earlier planning, longer shifts, more frequent care, and additional professional coverage.

Double Moon care may include:

• Pumping and expressed-milk support
• Paced bottle feeding
• Diapering, soothing, and settling

• Cesarean-recovery support
• Coordination with a second care provider when needed
• Support for older siblings and household transitions

Pricing depends on the number of babies, shift structure, awake-care requirements, schedule, and whether an additional care provider is needed.

More babies deserve more support—not less recovery.

Honoring Your Family’s Postpartum Traditions

Moon Goddess Mama welcomes families from diverse cultural, religious, racial, national, and family backgrounds.

Before care begins, families may share preferences related to:

• Privacy and visitors
• Family roles
• Foods and hydration
• Warmth and comfort
• Rest and activity
• Feeding traditions
• Spiritual or religious observances
• Language and forms of address
• Bathing or household routines
• Grandparent and elder participation
• Newborn-care customs
• Recovery milestones and celebrations

I do not assume that every person from a particular culture follows the same traditions.

I also do not present myself as a traditional healer, medical professional, herbalist, massage therapist, chef, or expert in every cultural practice.

Herbal preparations, supplements, specialized meals, therapeutic massage, and medical treatments are not automatically included in postpartum doula care. Families may coordinate those services with qualified practitioners or trusted family members.

My role is to listen, respect, support, and provide experienced postpartum and newborn care within a safe and clearly defined professional scope.

Package Pricing and Scheduling

Prices listed above are based on Moon Goddess Mama’s current standard rates.

Packages using recurring overnights assume weekday scheduling unless otherwise stated.

Consecutive-night packages include applicable weekday and weekend rates. Final pricing may vary according to the exact calendar dates.

Additional pricing may apply for:

• Weekend care
• Holidays
• Twins and multiples
• Awake overnight care
• Travel
• Live-in arrangements
• Twenty-four-hour care

Your traditions matter. Your recovery matters. Your support should reflect both.
